Straw in the salt marsh

Straw in the salt marsh (DC.87) is a 2010 drypoint carborundum print on paper, 33 × 32 cm, printed from a zinc plate. One state, the difference only in colour. A high horizon, much salt-marsh land in the foreground. Straw and wad grass as material in the modelling paste.

The plate was pulled in 12 impressions in grey-blue-white, grey-green-white, umber-grey, umber-ochre, umber-brown, umber-white, green-earth-white, blue-green-black, blue-green, green-earth-black-white, and green-black. Each sheet is inked by hand; no two impressions are the same object.

Printed on Kupferdruck, Hahnemühle, 300 gram.
