DC.44.7 — drypoint carborundum print on paper, 59 × 39 cm, 2010

Sky and land (DC.44) is a 2010 drypoint carborundum print on paper, 59 × 39 cm, printed from a zinc plate. An empty salt-marsh landscape in which the first two fields of the mudflats are clearly visible. A high standpoint, and a search for the disappearing horizon. Oscillation between land and sky. A perspective study: lines added, more planes made.

The plate was pulled in 9 impressions in black-blue, grey, green-black, blue-grey, brown-grey, and green-grey. Each sheet is inked by hand; no two impressions are the same object.

Impression DC.44.7 printed in brown-grey is available.
