Blackboard book (DC.50) is a 2007 drypoint, carborundum, relief on paper, 39 × 58 cm, printed from a zinc plate. Two-colour print from two plates printed over each other at once. An open standing book, as if it had fallen open. Flanked on both sides by a relief print: black ground, white text. The right-hand page of the book is scored, as if someone had tried to claw something out of it. The black is rolled ink into which the text is written. Each time the plate is inked again the text is taken off and written again. Each impression has unique text.

The plate was pulled in 6 impressions in grey-brown. Each sheet is inked by hand; no two impressions are the same object.
