PE.31.2 — drypoint, carborundum, photo-etching on paper, 98 × 127 cm, 1995

Étretat cliffs (PE.31) is a 1995 drypoint, carborundum, photo-etching on paper, 98 × 127 cm, printed from a zinc plate. A pinhole photograph of the cliffs at Étretat. The plate cut through and soldered again. First a drypoint of the feather, then a photographic etch, plate cut and soldered, then the photographic etch over the drypoint. Madness.

The plate was pulled in 4 impressions in green-black. Each sheet is inked by hand; no two impressions are the same object.

Impression PE.31.2 is recorded in the catalogue.
