Calm before the storm (DC.40) is a 2000 drypoint carborundum print on paper, 39 × 44 cm, printed from a zinc plate. The wad landscape when the sky is very dark. Heavy clouds, light only at the horizon. As if the heavens were hanging very low.
The plate was pulled in 2 impressions in green and warm-green. Each sheet is inked by hand; no two impressions are the same object.
